Firefighters from Ryde are tackling a shed fire in a residential area of Bembridge this lunchtime (Monday).
2 appliances are on scene at Downs View Road where a blaze has destroyed at least 1 garden shed and has spread to fencing and hedgerow.
Crews are tackling the fire from different sides using hose reels, main jets and breathing apparatus.
Positive pressure ventilation is also being used to rid smoke from residential properties that surround the enclosed garden space.
The alarm was raised just before 12:10.
UPDATE @ 13:55 – It has been confirmed that 3 structures have been involved in the fire, which has now been brought under control using a main jet and 3 hose reels.
No one has been injured but there has been significant damage caused to multiple gardens.
