SG Gaming developed Rainbow Riches in 2013. It is yet another online slot game with an Irish theme. Initially launched as a classic fruit machine, the British name for a slot machine, and accessed across the UK in pubs and land based traditional casinos, SG Gaming then turned the game into a video slot machine. The continuing theme of Irish folklore, leprechauns and pots of gold at the end of the rainbow is a winning formula for many online slot games. Rainbow Riches remains a popular game to this day.
Slot game features
Featuring five reels, three rows and twenty pay lines and with spins from 0.01p to as much as £400 per spin the game offers manageable budgets, entertaining video animations and exciting sound effects. Rainbow Riches suits the beginner player and the more experienced player. The game is a non progressive slot game so wins are easy to achieve albeit with smaller winnings but the Return to Player percentage is a healthy 95%.
The reels can be spun automatically and manually. The auto spin function continues until the stop button is pressed, the player runs out of credits, all the spins are completed or a bonus is triggered. Auto spin is ideal if the player wants a rest from manually spinning the reels.
The Wild symbol is the gold coin and like most wilds overrides all of the other symbols excluding the scatter which is the leprechaun symbol. Landing on three or more of the leprechaun scatter symbols starts the Road to Riches bonus round giving the player a potential multiplier of five hundred if they choose the right path to climb.
The wishing well symbol is a pick me bonus round, landing on three or more of the wishing well symbols can result in multiplying the stake by five hundred and landing three or more pots of gold on reels two, three or four triggers an additional multiplier chance in the pot of gold bonus. If the player reveals a bronze pot, a silver pot and at the end of the rainbow a gold pot it can result in a multiplier of five hundred times the original bet.
Theme and graphics
The game follows the Irish theme in graphics and all of the symbols, including the Ace, Jack, Queen, King and Ten cards are designed in a bright and colourful way. Irish music plays in the background and along with the emerald greens of the slot game; Rainbow Riches pushes the Irish theme through and through.
