Firefighters are tackling a house fire in Carisbrooke this evening (Tuesday).
The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service have been mobilised 3 appliances to a residential property on Kestrel Way – off of Fieldfare Road.
Crews from Newport and East Cowes, as well as local duty officers, were called to the single-storey property at around 21:15.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus have entered the property and are working to bring a fire at the rear of the family home under control.
Externally, crews are working away at the roofing to ensure the fire does not spread any further.
All residents have escaped uninjured.
UPDATE @ 23:05 – It has been confirmed tonight that the fire broke out in the conservatory.
Hose reels and positive pressure ventilation were used by the 3 crews, who have since stood down from the incident.
