Firefighters from Shanklin are tackling a car fire in Lake this lunchtime (Tuesday).
The vehicle, a Citroen C5 saloon, is well ablaze outside The Stag Inn pub on Newport Road.
1 pumping appliance is currently on scene having been alerted to the incident at just before 12:55.
Traffic is being directed around the vehicle whilst firefighters dowse the flames and bring the situation under control.
No one is thought to be injured and the fire has not spread to the building.
UPDATE @ 14:19 – The fire has been successfully extinguished by the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service.
It is thought an electrical fault may have sparked the blaze.
