UPDATED: Firefighters are this morning (Thursday) attending a roof fire in Upper Road, Adgestone.
Crews were called to the scene shortly after 11:15. Two appliances from Ryde are in attendance.
UPDATE @ 12:00 – Firefighters have extinguished a small fire, which started in the insulation of the roof space whilst works were taking place.
Crews remain at the property checking other areas of the roof. Upper Road is currently blocked as a result.
UPDATE @ 12:10 – The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service have now left the scene. The road has reopened.
