2 appliances from the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service are attending an address on the outskirts of Newchurch this evening (Wednesday).
Crews from Ryde and Newport are on scene at Skinners Lane where a small grill pan fire has developed in the kitchen of a remote detached house.
The alarm was raised at around 18:35.
Firefighters have not been required to take any firefighting action with the fire confirmed as out on arrival. They are however ventilating the property. 2 fire officers are also in attendance.
The property is fitted with a working smoke alarm and the homeowner is said to have taken the correct action.
