34-year-old Benjamin Entwistle is back behind bars this weekend after being charged with 7 offences relating to an incident involving a knife in Shanklin on Friday.
Entwistle, a name that regular Island Echo readers will be familiar with, was arrested by Armed Police in Shanklin on Friday evening.
Police had received reports of a male with a knife making threats to the occupants of a property in Oaklyn Gardens, as previously reported by Island Echo.
Armed officers from both sides of the Solent were drafted in to arrest Entwistle, who was apprehended near Regent Street.
Hampshire Constabulary has confirmed that the 34-year-old was charged last night with, Common Assault, Affray, Possession of a bladed article in a public place, Possession of Cannabis, Racially Aggravated Public Order and 2 other public order offences.

Surely an ‘accident’ is due to this creature? Either some real men or perhaps even the Police as he resists arrest next time.
Need this sort gone as we have countless arriving daily now.
Bad dawgs never learn
Enough reason to bring in euthanasia, but the bleeding hearts wouldn’t like that.
This man is a danger to the public and has been treated very leniently by the courts in the past, resulting in this latest costly Police operation. The officers are not only facing danger, but are being taken away from other duties protecting others.
Not only for public safety, but for cost effectiveness as well, bang him up now and give him a long custodial sentence.
We are too tolerant of anti-social and violent crime , it is time the Courts gave the Police the backing hey need and deserve. when will the Government get the message, criminal behaviour for lost has no real consequences. The law abiding public are fed up with the situation.
people like him, act the way they do, as they know that the hand wringing do gooders have gutted the judicial system, so that his welfare and rights are respected above all else. He has no fear of jail, as it is like a hotel.
What needs to happen, is isolation, no human contact, apart from an occasional beating and kept there until he breaks, then let him out.
also involved in that terrible crash along Briddlesford, where he was driving illegally
and changed an innocent person’s life!
Yes he did , not just her life but her family
One of life’s takers nothing to contribute, just a looser !
Absolute scum lock up & keep in there.
Will never learn to be a good citizen!
This is also the guy who destroyed a young mums life freshwater 2 years ago I’m so annoyed that he’s got away with what he has so many times
Ryde
If this POS is locked up……..keep him there and throw away the key. Society doesn’t need him.
Who thinks the justice system should make a example of this creature ? Press the like button if you agree
Going off how the Courts deal with people on the Island, my bet is a fine
He has come back in for Christmas, they get extra perks over the Christmas period, plus it saves him buying any presents… twat
Don’t blame the police it’s the judges give out so small sentences they should be on the stage . CRIME will always pay if you get away with a light punishment . Come on judges go and see the victims and the video footage of the police body cams then sentence the individual IBET YOU WOULD CHANGE YOUR MIND .put your self in the victims shoes just for once .
Johnny Jugs , It is NOT the courts fault as our jails are now filled to the brim with criminals from all corners of the globe with a never ending supply arriving daily, or being born in our maternity wards, then there is not enough space to jail them all for meaningful terms.
SO, as they only now can jail the very very worst for long terms, it just shows how bad ‘they’ must be compared to this gutter trash.
See the ‘real’ issue in the UK which few dare mention.
When he is released he should be forced to wear a pink tutu dress for a year.
Electrotherapy is a medical treatment for the brain. If used correctly it can completely change a persons behaviour. Perhaps it is about time it was tried out on him!!!
Wow! Even famed outlaws Robin Hood and Ned Kelly had two names. Maybe this Entwistle does deserve respect for being given higher honours than history’s finest and most illustrious. I doubt that, so probably another police informer just overstepped the mark.
