A 44-year-old has been quizzed by Police on suspicion of drug driving after 2 people were injured in a motorcycle crash in Lake yesterday evening (Monday).
As first reported by Island Echo, emergency services were called at 19:15 to reports of a collision between a car and a motorcycle on Lake Hill.
Police, fire and ambulance crews all responded to the scene, where treatment was given to a motorcyclist – a man aged in his 60s.
He spent an hour on the ground before being conveyed to St Mary’s Hospital for treatment.
His pillion passenger, a young male, was checked over having sustained minor injuries.
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary has confirmed that the driver of the car involved – a 44-year-old man – was arrested on suspicion of drug driving.
He has since been released from custody but remains under investigation while enquiries continue.
