TWO pumping appliances from Newport have this afternoon been called to a small electrical fire in Wootton.
Crews were called shortly after 16:15 to The Sloop Inn at Wootton Bridge after an electrical appliance started smoking in the pub’s kitchen.
All staff and customers were safely evacuated and the appliance was made safe by firefighters from the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service.
