A road traffic collision involving at least 2 vehicles has resulted in road closures at Branstone Cross in Apse Heath this evening (Friday).
A VW Polo and a Renault Clio have collided on the notorious junction where Winford Road meets Sandown Road and Little Princelett Shute. Police and paramedics are on scene, but no serious injuries are thought to have been sustained. The incident occurred at around 19:00.
The main Newport to Sandown is closed in both directions, as is Little Princelett Shute and Winford Road.
Recovery is underway.
UPDATE @ 20:20 – Both vehicles have now been recovered by Bartletts Service Station. All roads have reopened.
