Police are appealing for help in locating missing 38-year-old Simon Ford from the Isle of Wight, whose vehicle has been located in a rural West Wight village.
Although Simon has been in contact with his family today (Monday), there are growing concerns for his welfare.
Earlier this afternoon his vehicle has been found in Mottistone, prompting the National Police Air Service helicopter to be scrambled. Unfortunately, searches of the rural area did not locate Simon.
Simion is described as white, of stocky build, 5ft 7ins, with short brown hair and green eyes.
It is believed he is still on the Island.

UPDATE @ 20:21 – Police have confirmed that Simon has been located, bringing an end to the search.
He has been taken to St Mary’s Hospital by officers.
WightSAR, which had been called out to assist with the search, have been stood down.
