Carisbrooke Field Target Club have secured both 1st and 2nd place in the Central and Southern Winter League following a strong season of competition.
After 6 rounds against 7 other clubs from across the region – including a hosted round on the Isle of Wight – Carisbrooke A established an early lead and remained at the top of the table throughout the season.
Meanwhile, Carisbrooke B climbed from 4th place midway through the competition to finish in 2nd place on the final round, missing out on top spot by just 1 point.
Although the club has achieved team success in the league for the past 4 years, this marks the first time Carisbrooke entered 2 teams – making their 1st and 2nd place finish a notable achievement.

Charlene Sommerfield and Terry Grant finished 2nd and 3rd respectively in B grade, with Jake Woodman taking 3rd place in C grade. Barry Warren finished 1st in the Open Class.
Richard Green also claimed the Gary Wells Memorial Trophy, awarded to the shooter who hit the most targets across the entire season.
A number of club members also compete nationally in the BFTA National Grand Prix series, with some set to represent England at the European Championships in Italy in July.
