A car has overturned onto its roof on Adelaide Grove this afternoon (Tuesday).
Emergency services including Police and Ambulance are in attendance at the scene where a Peugeot 3008 has rolled on a straight section of the road.
The vehicle is blocking the entire carriageway which is forcing Route 5/4 buses to divert via York Avenue in and out of the town.
The road is closed between Yarborough Road and York Avenue.
UPDATE @ 13:35 – A woman is being tended to by an Ambulance Crew and an Enhanced Care Paramedic.
A second vehicle has been involved in the incident – a parked black Renault Clio.
Recovery is inbound and the road will be back open again in due course.

More bad driving on the IW
Shut up
This is why trolls like this do it, to get a reaction, makes them feel important they’ve annoyed someone. If everyone stopped the thumbs down and stuff he probably would.
Why? Did the parked car cause this incident?
you are correct Phil, she was on her phone with a child on board
The idiots will still defend her…
How you even do this.
Hope everyone is OK.
OMG ! we are seeing this nearly every other day. How on earth do you manage to roll a car on a straight residential street? I’m sure even stunt people would have trouble.
let’ts hope all involved are ok.
Shouldn’t drive French rubbish, I’m sure it won’t be long be another idiot comes along..
Why? Can’t you afford one.
My car was £44.000….how much was your French crap?…
£44, my kids car cost more than that.
Beware the rotating roads of our beautiful Isle
Unbelievable… How on earth could that have happened? Is the 308 electric???
No it’s a French chav car…
Actually she was using her phone whilst driving
That is incredibly dumb, they must have been watching The Fall Guy and practising
Vaccine probably caused it.
100% correct – also Brexit and Beryl scooters were in the mix as well, according to my “sources”.
Enjoy your gene therapy mate
Haha, great comment. Love it!
It’s actually very easy to roll a car can even be done at rolling speed, one little clip of a curb or if a parked car has left their wheels poking out. Either way there’s thousands of cars on the road down here so even if there was an accident every day that’s still a small percentage. People need to get off their high horses and stop judging just because it’s never happened to them.
On her phone, that’s how you judge her
Uninsured driver on the phone with a child in the car… what the hell was she thinking!
Uninsured, on phone and a child. Lock then up.
The car wasn’t on the roof, it was on the side. I walked past and the 2 people in the car escaped. It was not blocking the entire road. Such drama
wow what a fantastic mother. phone more important than your children’s wellbeing!
