A teenage driver has had a lucky escape after crashing into a tree on Firestone Copse Road near Havenstreet this morning (Saturday).
Police were called to the scene between Wootton and Havenstreet shortly after 10:00 when the red Skoda Fabia left the road. The vehicle first hit a tree on the rear offside door before coming to a stop front-end first into another tree.
Slippy conditions as a result of leaves blanketing the carriageway are understood to have contributed to the collision – an added danger for motorists are this time of the year.
Thankfully, the female driver has escaped any injury.
The vehicle has now been recovered by Stag Lane Motors.
