A Toyota has left the road and crashed into heras fencing surrounding a building site in Sandown this evening (Monday).
The incident has occurred on Culver Parade near the junction with Fort Street – the site of the former Wight City complex.
Island Echo understands that the driver swerved to avoid another vehicle that was pulling out of a parking space.
No one has been seriously injured in the incident, but the marketing board promoting the Breakwaters development has been destroyed. The Toyota Yaris has also been left with frontend damage.
The road remains open as normal.

Need the police camera there more often.
Too busy at the other end of culver where in winter the desolate straight road, devoid of walkers and life is a ‘real’ accident waiting to happen.
