A competitive team of 9 swimmers will aim to make a splash at the 2025 Island Games in Orkney next week.
Team Isle of Wight will be made up of the following athletes; Will Davidson, Ben Van der Helstraete, George Hayward, Harry Poynter, Isobel Muncaster, Grace Poynter, Mylea Gobby, Inara Ford and Skye Priede. The squad will be managed by Gavin Muncaster and coached by Val Gard.
There is a total of 47 different events across the 4 main disciplines, these are;

All swimming events at Orkney 2025 will take place at the Pickaquoy Centre in Kirkwall. Events will take place between Monday 14th – Thursday 17th July.
Grace Poynter bagged Bronze in the 200m Breaststroke in Guernsey. Double Guernsey medallist Abigail Lacey is not competing in Orkney.
As has been the case since the first games back in 1985, Jersey tend to dominate in the pool in most disciplines especially in the 100m, 200m, 400m and relay events.
