BrightHouse, the largest rent-to-own company in the country, is to open its first store on the Isle of Wight.
Although the company refuse to confirm the location of the new store, work has been underway at the former Dorothy Perkins outlet in the High Street for sometime. Bright House, who currently have 308 stores and over 3,000 employees across the UK, are understood to be moving in soon.
A date for the opening of the new store has not yet been confirmed.
In a statement provided to Island Echo last month, a spokesperson for Bright House said:
“We are indeed looking to open a store in the Isle of Wight and we are currently investigating a number of potential sites. As and when there is something to announce, we will certainly get in touch with the details.
“All of our stores are on the mainland where we think there is potential for many more. However, amongst the locations under active consideration are a number of islands which includes the Isle of Wight.”
