It has been announced that Hartford Care has acquired Inver House care home in Bembridge from Somerset Care, taking the company to 21 homes and over 1,000 residents. Inver House is Hartford Care’s 4th care home on the Isle of Wight, alongside Highfield Nursing Home in Ryde, Springfield Nursing Home in Shanklin and The Elms in Bembridge. It was purchased through Christie & Co for an undisclosed price. Rated ‘Good’ by the Quality Care Commission, the 50-bedroom home has benefitted from significant investment over the last few years and offers residential care, end-of-life care, respite care and daycare, along with dementia care. Kevin Shaw, CEO of Hartford Care, comments:
“Inver House has a fantastic reputation, and we are looking forward to welcoming the team to the Hartford Care family. “Our team members are at the heart of our company and are extremely valued for the excellent care they provide to our residents. “The acquisition of Inver House is another step towards achieving our goal to double in size over the next 3 years.”
The acquisition of Inver House comes following the agreement of a new credit facility with NatWest of £45million, funding which will support Hartford Care’s ambitious growth strategy. Charles Phillips, Director – Healthcare at Christie & Co, comments:
“We are delighted to have found Hartford Care as a buyer for this home and having sold them their three other Isle of Wight homes, they were a natural buyer for Inver House. We wish them all the best with their latest purchase.”
