Bembridge RNLI’s inshore lifeboat has assisted 3 people who were thrown into the water after their dinghy capsized off Seaview earlier this afternoon (Saturday).
Solent Coastguard requested the launch of the ILB at around 13:55, resulting in a swift response from the volunteer on-call crew.
The upturned dinghy and 3 men were swiftly located in the choppy seas off Seaview and St Helens.
Thankfully, none of the causalities were injured so attention turned to safely righting the sailing vessel. A tow was then established and Bembridge ILB took the dinghy to a point near Puckpool, where it was then taken ashore by the uninjured men.
Bembridge’s Inshore Lifeboat returned to Lane End and was recovered by 15:00.
