2 people have been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs following a raid on a property in Lake today (Friday).
Officers investigating the supply of class A drugs on the Isle of Wight carried out a warrant at a flat on Lake Green Road, Lake at just before midday.
Entry was forced to the property before a full search was carried out both inside the flat and in a car parked outside.
Hampshire Constabulary have confirmed to Island Echo that a 19-year-old man and a 47-year-old woman, both from Lake, have been arrested.
They remain in custody at this time.
UPDATE – The duo have been released from custody, but remain under investigation.

These beings in social housing get given a home, get most if not all of their heavily subsidised rent paid along with their council tax. The more clones they breed the more cash they gain, many can’t even be bothered to look after there ‘charity supplied’ home or garden.
Then they turn to crime to gain even more cash.
They should be evicted and then I guess the ‘wet’ on here would be wanting us to pay for ‘shelter’ for the homeless.
Imo we are keeping the feckless and wasters by our tax, now we will keep them in jail for a week or less too.

Decriminalising cannabis is the way forward as per many other 1st world countries that have seen the light. Then hammer the ‘left over’ drug dealers.It will go a long way to stopping all that petty theft to get a bit of puff and the old bill can concentrate on proper policing….

Not everyone in social housing is lazy and a scum bag. Not everyone is lucky enough to be able to buy there own house
Agreed, these articles just highlight those who are in these living conditions and decide to stick out like sore thumbs. It’s quite unfortunate as it has basically labelled the majority of those in social housing as deviant.
