The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance has been in action in Ventnor this lunchtime (Tuesday).
The yellow and green helicopter landed at Ventnor Rugby Club shortly before 12:30 and has since airlifted a male to a mainland hospital.
The Isle of Wight Ambulance Service requested the assistance of the life-saving charity at around midday.
It’s thought the patient is being taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth.
