UPDATED: The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance has been called to Binstead near Ryde this morning (Monday).
The charity-funded green and yellow helicopter has landed at Pell Lane Recreation Ground, next to Ryde Academy, following a request for assistance from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service.
It is understood that the HEMS team have been called to an address at Waterloo Cresent.
UPDATE @ 14:05 – The air ambulance has in the last few minutes taken off from Pell Lane.
No patients have been conveyed on this occasion.
