Red Funnel has cancelled 2 of its vehicle ferry sailings tonight (Saturday) due to a technical issue with the aft engine on board one of its ferries. The 22:00 from Southampton and the 23:30 from East Cowes – the last ferry of the night – have both been pulled. It’s unclear if this latest technical issue will result in disruption to the timetable overnight and into Sunday. Earlier today the cross-Solent operator’s hi-speed service was hit with disruption when a lack of staff led to the cancellation of a number of Red Jet sailings, as previously reported by Island Echo. Red Funnel apologises for any inconvenience to your journey.
