Police have been mobilised to the scene at Morton Road where 3 vehicles – 2 Ford Fiestas and a Mercedes – have collided close to the junction of Perowne Way in the Ryde side of the traffic lights.
Traffic is heavy in the area but the road remains open at this time, albeit slow-moving.
Routes 2 and 3 will suffer delays until the incident has been cleared.
Adjoining roads – Perowne Way, Avenue Road, The Broadway, Morton Road and Yarbridge Cross – are all suffering delays as a result.
No one has been injured.

Why all the fuss about a shunt where no-one was injured? Don’t people just move their cars over as far as they can or drive to a pull in and exchange details?
More idiots on the road, 40 limit and they still can’t find the brakes….or was the cause speeding???
At that time of day you’d be hard pushed to go fast enough to overtake a snail anywhere near that junction.
Hope everyone involved is OK.
I expect some idiot jumped the lights again.
Why vote that comment down? It is probably nearer the fact than other comments
Actually it’s a 30 limit as you approach the lights .
Idiot
Idiot
Well said ron
Put brain in gear before commenting, that is firstly insulting to women, secondly Fiesta’s are not only driven by women!
Thirdly this is the 21st Century not the 1970s and yes I am a man……. unfortunately you are an ignorant one.
3 car shunt…. Probably driving without due care and attention.
Thats not fair on the Ford fiesta’s
