27-year-old Jamie Downing from Oakvale in Ryde admitted possessing a paedophile manual when he appeared before the Isle of Wight Crown Court earlier today (Monday).
Downing held his hands up to possession of the prohibited material, namely a series of powerpoint slides, which contained advice or guidance about sexually abusing children. He held a copy of the manual for over 2 years, between 2015 and 2017.
On 4th December Jamie Downing initially appeared before the Isle of Wight Magistrates Court charged with 6 offences in total.
The case has now been adjourned for sentencing on 5th February 2019. Downing has been granted unconditional bail until that time.
