24-year-old Finlay Bakewell has been charged with 2 offences and will appear before Magistrates later today (Thursday) following an incident involving Armed Police in East Cowes yesterday.
Bakewell, of no fixed abode, has been charged with possession of a knife in a public place and failing to provide a specimen for analysis. No other charges have been laid against him.
As first reported by Island Echo, Armed Police descended on Kent Avenue, East Cowes yesterday lunchtime amid concerns for the occupants of a flat. Officers surrounded the property and made 1 arrest – it’s thought 2 others may be outstanding.
2 knives were recovered from a Mercedes-Benz, with a firearm – described as a BB gun – also found during the incident.
Finlay Bakewell has been remanded in custody and is set to appear at Isle of Wight Magistrates Court later today.
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary says enquiries continue into the wider circumstances of yesterday’s incident in East Cowes.
I expect mummy will say he has done nothing wrong again but everybody knows that Mr Bakewell does in fact bake well.
Bang him up inside because there is no excuse for constant wrong—doers which are a drain on services and lowering the standard of the community
Good ol scum from monkey town..
Five cops with semi automatic weapons to arrest one saddo with a plastic BB gun in the back of his wardrobe.
Perhaps they can lock up the vile little rat this time
