Emergency services are in attendance at a road traffic collision involving at least 2 vehicles on Briddlesford Road near Wootton this morning (Wednesday).
The incident, which occurred at just before 08:00, has taken place close to Wootton Common roundabout and has involved 1 car and a motorcycle – with potentially 1 other vehicle also part of the crash.
A Mazda MX-5 has braked heavily and skidded off the road into a hedge, but it is thought the driver has escaped injury.
Meanwhile, a male motorcyclist has been immobilised by paramedics at the roadside. He is excepted to be conveyed to St Mary’s Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police are on scene and the road has been closed in both directions.
UPDATE – The road has now re-opened.
It has been confirmed that the motorcyclist has suffered minor injuries.
