That beautiful MR2 is probably a write off…
The Toyota driver must be gutted, he’ll get next to “0”payout for his pride and joy.
Unless your brakes fail or you have a medical thing it’s carelessly driving. Every time I venture out on these road I avoid at least one crash test dummy.
The other driver was at fault so his insurnace will pay out.
Insurance is an insult and he’ll prob only get 1500 for that lovely MR2 at best. To replace a car like that could easily be 10k-15k depending on what work has been done, I bet he’s gutted especially as it looks like he wasn’t at fault.
I don’t know a single person ever to get the real value of their car from insurance even if its a standard car. It’s a shambles that we all have to put up with it. The industry needs a kick up the jacksy.
If the MR2 driver fights tooth and nail against the loss adjusters, claiming that it is an appreciating asset, he might get lucky… write off value might only be £1500… if repairs are>60% of that, it’ll get written off. Very, very sad….
Having said that, Autotrader values are quite high for a nice MK1 MR2 so his luck could be in…
yep your right
my wifes car got wrote of it was parked and a old lady smashed in to it we had nothing to do with the crash but lost out and ended up put a extra 3k toward my wifes new car
its a bloody crime
And this children is why you don’t spend loads of money on a car…
Anybody that has a modified car knows that but I’m not going to stop doing it and I doubt anybody else will either
I’ve heard of and seen a lot of rear end accidents recently. What is going on? Could the drivers on the island roads start paying a bit more attention please? It’s ridiculous.
was probley txting or on the phone more scrap metal for cliftongrade
More bad driving on the I o w
Spot on Phil
So have you a useful positive solution to it that you could share with us?
Or are you just an annoying old fart?
Miserable sod you are mate
Every time thers an accident it puts everyone’s insurance up, we all have to pay the price for bad drivers , and it’s not bloody fair..
Walk everywhere then roflmao
I know the mr2 driver, he stopped to turn into a driveway and the fiesta driver rear ended him, the police arrived and the fiesta driver failed a drugs wipe for cannabis. His excuse for hitting the mr2 was he was bending over to pick up a lighter. Am i the only person who thinks smoking whilst driving should banned?
Smoking anything while driving should certainly be banned. Smoking cannabis and driving is absolutely unforgivable.
The courts will probably give the selfish scumbag a ticking-off with ‘Oh, you are a naughty boy – go home and think how naughty you are, and don’t do it again’. Which he will.
Whenever will decent citizens get proper protection from the law?
Yet another car malfunction, or a totally ‘innocent’ driver stuck down by the mysterious ‘affliction’ which is causing the most careful, thoughtful, sober and drug free drivers to keep crashing here.
A real mystery……..to the dim.
Good riddance to that old shed
Are you talking about the Toyota?
Obviously. The old heap
totaly agree was onley fit for making baked bean cans out of
Well said, Peter
I’ve seen that MR2 around quite a lot.
