Firefighters were called to free a teenager from a child’s swing in St Helens just hours after kids broke up from school for the festive period.
1 appliance from Ryde was mobilised to Upper Green Road at around 14:40 following reports of a teenager stuck in a swing.
For reasons unknown, the 13-year-old decided to squeeze into a swing designed for toddlers and soon found themselves stuck fast.
Firefighters used their skills and hydraulic equipment to release the individual, who walked away with nothing more than embarrassment.

‘Reason unknown?’, not rocket science to ‘understand why’ the ‘reason’ being showing off to some equally mindless thicko likely filming such vandalism in full knowledge any damage ‘they’ won’t be paying for.
This sort of rubbish infests every playground made for small children who, being young, have yet to be ruined like their disrespectful and ignorant older siblings.
Yet should that teenager sustained any injury, then, they are the first low life to try to claim compo, for lack of signage over age restrictions etc, which, in all likely-hood, they, or their equally charming friends smashed “for a laugh” at some earlier excursion to the park.
Fine the rubbishes equally useless parents hard imo.
Yet the gullible on here will be giving food p arcels to keep such trash alive this year. Rather give it to rats, for they can’t help being a nuisance to society.
For reasons unknown,
the kid just felt like playing on the little kids swing and rather than stop when they realised they were a bit too big for it, carried on squeezing themselves in …..dimbo
chill out boys it aint that deep
Fine the parents or more likely stop it’s child allowance for a year. It will then ‘think’ next time, could be a new experience.
One less swing for toddlers to play in. Not like itll be replaced anytime soon, should be billed for the damage.
