Firefighters from Newport extinguished a blaze that had broke out in a vehicle on a main road between Carisbrooke and Shorwell this afternoon (Saturday).
A single fire appliance from Newport was mobilised to the scene on Bowcombe Road at around 12:30.
When on scene, firefighters used hose reel jets to extinguish the small blaze that had started in the vehicle.
Firefighters ensured the scene was safe before leaving and heading back to the station at around 13:00.
Thank goodness it was not an electric vehicle
