Residents living in Yarmouth are fearing an imminent landslip at Bouldnor, which they say is liable to block the coastal footpath.
An area of land adjacent to the Bouldnor view point car park is predicted to fall by those living nearby, who suspect that the next heavy rain will prompt many tons of earth to slip away from the face of the 18 metre steel pilings installed by Island Roads 20 months ago.
The issue has been forwarded to the Isle of Wight Council’s Rights of Way department. Island Roads say that Coastal Management are aware and that the area is being monitored.
