A Wootton man who pushed his friend over and then proceeded to hit her several times, whilst laid on top of her, will learn his fate in the courts in November. Timothy Layfield, of High Street in Wootton, appeared before the Isle of Wight Magistrates Court on Friday (23rd August). 55-year-old Layfield pleaded guilty to a single charge of assault by beating, which relates to an incident that occurred on 4th August this year. Lauren Stone, prosecuting, told the court that the victim had been out drinking with Layfield and his partner – to whom she was good friends – but had decided to return to Layfield’s home when they were refused service at The Wheatsheaf in Newport, due to ‘problems’ with Layfield. The trio grabbed alcoholic drinks from a local shop and spent the evening drinking. However, Magistrates heard that things turned nasty when the victim mentioned helping to tidy the Layfield’s home as it was in a poor state. It’s thought that this offended Timothy, who yelled at the woman to get out of his house. Magistrates heard that it was at this point that Layfield pushed the woman, causing her to fall. He then laid on top of her and hit her whilst she was on the floor. The Crown Prosecution Service say that the victim feared she would be killed in this persistent assault. The victim came up in bruises following the assault and ended up calling an ambulance for the injuries she sustained, but declined medical advice to go to hospital for further examination and treatment. The case has been adjourned for a pre-sentence report to be compiled. Timothy Layfield will appear in the same court for sentencing on 1st November.

Surely you realise that the average Reform voter is more likely to be someone like this violent British man than educated people who contribute towards society and make a decent living doing so.
If it weren’t for what you refer to as third world imports, what would the state of the health services on the island and also in the entire country be? Every time I make use of health services (rarely NHS, mostly private), the only British staff I see are the receptionists. The actual qualified healthcare workers are usually from other countries.
So no mention of ‘every time’ you hear of a stabbing in the cities, every time you hear of gang rape, your blinkers drop and lift for the FEW people who treat your piles or ulcers who are wanted.
