A teenage boy escaped serious injury after being hit in the leg when an elderly driver collided with a parked car in Ventnor Town Centre earlier this afternoon (Friday). It was just before 15:55 that a blue Suzuki Swift – driven by an elderly female – collided with the rear of a parked BMW 5-series on Pier Street, outside the former bus depot. Paramedics from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service were mobilised to the scene as a result of a pedestrian – a young teenage boy – being injured. Police also responded. Thankfully, no serious injuries were sustained by any party involved.
