14-year-old archer Summer Chambers has brought her 2025 outdoor season to a triumphant close by securing 1st place in both the Southern Counties Archery Championship and the Southern Counties Youth Tour, cementing her reputation as one of the top young archers in the region.
The talented Isle of Wight athlete produced an exceptional performance in her final competition of the outdoor season at Harlequin Bowmen in Didcot, scoring 934 out of a possible 972 – just 38 points off a perfect round.
Summer’s success in the Southern Counties event adds to a growing list of accolades in 2025, with September being a particularly strong month for the rising star. She secured double gold at the Hampshire Outdoor Championships, gold at the Woking Archery Club Open and a 4th place finish at the Junior National Final. She also captained Hampshire to a win over Sussex in a county match.

Summer will now shift her focus to the indoor season and further training. She is set to attend a National Age Group Academy session at Lilleshall next weekend as part of her continued development at national level.
