Police are on the hunt for an Audi RS6 which was stolen in Newport earlier today (Monday). The vehicle – registration displayed as RS6 0ZYS – is thought to have been taken from a driveway on Fairlee Road at some point between 11:30 and 13:00. Reports suggest the vehicle was sighted in East Cowes at around 11:30 – possibly heading for the Red Funnel ferry. Islanders are being asked to keep a sharp eye out, especially as the number plates may have been changed. Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary and the ferries companies have been informed of the high-value theft, thought to be in the region of £60,000. UPDATE – The vehicle has been successfully located in East Cowes. It’s thought the car was abandoned this morning
