53-year-old David Dean has admitted attempting to engage in sexual communications with a girl under the age of 13 and will be sentenced at the Crown Court next month. Dean, of Hungerberry Close in Shanklin, admitted attempting to cause/incite a female child aged under 13 to engage in sexual activity – no penetration and 2x attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child when he appeared before the bench at the Isle of Wight Magistrates Court on Tuesday (23rd July) The 53-year-old sought to make the child he was talking to touch herself as he spoke to her about sexual intercourse and masturbation. The offences took place between the 25th April and 9th June 2023. Due to the severity of the charges, the case has been sent up to the Isle of Wight Crown Court. A sentencing hearing will take place on 30th August with a pre-sentence report to be compiled. As a result of his plea of guilt, Dean now has to sign the sex offenders register at Newport Police Station within 3 days.

This man is a dangerous individual and should be monitored closely for the rest of his miserable life. I hope his family disown him and that all children living near him have had their parents informed of his potential to commit more crime.
Why does Shanklin have such a high amount of perverts living there
Another one that should be sentenced to the death penalty! the worse thing is ‘if’ he a sentenced to prison, we the tax payer have no choice but to pay for him to be alive! Something has to change with this country.
When you cut funding for schools you cut the money that would have been used to help protect the children. When you cut funding for the police you cut the money to employ enough police that would catch more predators like this.
The Tories have bled this country dry and as a result there is no law and order. He will be set to walk the streets again as the Tories cut spending on the prisons and now there is no room.
