Sam’s Chicken, a primarily London-based company that is expanding throughout the country, is to officially open its first Isle of Wight store on Thursday – but Islanders can experience the great taste straight away.
The fast food outlet opened its doors for a soft opening this morning (Tuesday), introducing a fresh tasting menu to both Ryde and the Island focusing on quality food at affordable prices.
The menu delivers a large variety of chicken products including wings, grills, nuggets, popcorn, wraps and burgers with a peri-peri range also and even 100% chicken hotdogs, as well as spicy rice, ice cream and other refreshments.
With quality in mind, the brand’s produce is cooked in 100% rapeseed oil which means a healthier fast food option for locals. The unique approach has gained the company’s London stores the certification of ‘Healthier Catering Commitment for London’.
The nearest store is currently in Tooting in London, meaning the large majority of Island residents will not have experienced a Sam’s Chicken outlet before but are being encouraged to try the brand.
Sam’s Chicken has taken over the former Chicken Cottage premises in Union Street, which opened early last year but failed to impress Islanders with halal meat and closed its doors at the weekend.
As well as providing eat-in or takeaway options, a delivery service is to be launched for the Ryde area.
The store opens fully on Thursday mid-morning, but is open for business this evening and throughout tomorrow (Wednesday).
