A motorcyclist is being tended to by paramedics after colliding with a car in Shanklin this evening (Wednesday). The incident – involving a Hyundai Tucson and a motorcycle – has occurred on Whitecross Lane, at the entrance to Landguard Holiday Park. Island Echo understands the motorcyclist has crashed into the side of the red Hyundai, which was pulling out of the holiday park at just before 19:15. The Isle of Wight Ambulance Service has an ambulance and an operational commander on scene, although it’s understood only minor injuries have been sustained. Police are also in attendance and have closed the road in both directions. It’s the second motorcycle collision today following on from another minor incident at Ashey this morning.
