The Spring term witnessed the 4th iteration of the annual secondary basketball tournaments organised by Michael Peake of Carisbrooke College and hosted by Cowes Enterprise College.
It’s been another successful year, with over 230 young players participating. All 9 Island secondary schools were represented in at least one tournament this year, with The Bay and Carisbrooke College continuing their 100% attendance over the last 4 seasons.
This year saw the rise of Christ the King College, who finished as either champions or runners-up in 4 of the 5 tournaments. The Bay continued their overall dominance, securing yet another championship and maintaining their incredible record of winning at least one tournament every year since the competition’s re-establishment in 2022. That’s nine championships in total.
Ryde School added a second title to their history, and Carisbrooke College managed to take home the final competition of the season by winning the year 11
