FOUND: POLICE LAUNCH SEARCH AS CONCERNS GROW FOR MISSING PENSIONER LINDA SMITH

Police are appealing for the public’s help in locating missing 79-year-old Linda Smith from Newport, who hasn’t been seen since Friday morning. Officers across the Isle of Wight are searching for the pensioner as concerns grow for her welfare. She was last seen leaving her home address at 08:30 on 19th July. Linda is described as white, about 5ft 5in tall with grey hair in a ponytail and of slim build. She was last seen wearing a floral dress, dark trainers with white soles, a beige/tan over the shoulder handbag and she was pulling a brown 4-wheeled shopping trolley. If anyone has any information regarding Linda’s whereabouts or her movements since she was last seen, call 999 quoting reference 44240307234. UPDATE SUNDAY – Police have confirmed that Linda has been located. It’s thought she was found mid-morning.
