Police and paramedics have responded to a crash on the dual carriageway in Newport this evening (Friday). The incident – involving at least 2 cars – occurred at just before 18:20 on the southbound carriageway, near the on slip from Riverway. Island Echo understands that a white Citroen C1 and a white Volkswagen Golf sustained damage in the crash, but that a third vehicle may have caused the incident. No injuries are thought to have been sustained, but paramedics from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service have attended the incident. The scene is being cleared.
