MOTORCYCLIST SUSTAINS MINOR INJURIES IN WHIPPINGHAM CRASH

A motorcyclist is being tended to by paramedics after a road traffic incident on the main road into East Cowes. It’s understood the Vespa-type scooter has been involved in a collision with a car on Whippingham Road, causing minor injuries to the rider. Emergency services were called to the scene near the junction with Alverstone Road and Folly Lane at just before 16:00, with the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service now on scene. Traffic is building in the area but the road remains open in both directions.
