UPDATED: MOTORCYCLIST INJURED IN JUNCTION COLLISION AT ASHEY

A motorcyclist has been injured in a road traffic collision at the junction of East Ashey Lane and Ashey Road on the outskirts of Ryde this morning (Wednesday). Police are on scene with officers tending to the male rider, who appears to have sustained a leg injury. The incident occurred shortly before 08:20. A white Audi A5 and a teal-coloured Suzuki Vitara are stopped at the scene with damage visible to the near side of the Audi. There are traffic delays in both directions with Police directing traffic under give and take. East Ashey Lane is closed both directions. UPDATE @ 10:10 – It has been confirmed that the motorcyclist sustained minor injuries in the crash. The scene has now been cleared.
