A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car that pulled out in front of him on Middle Road. Police and paramedics were called to the B3399 Middle Road at Tapnell just minutes after arriving on scene at another road traffic collision around the corner at Thorley, as first reported by Island Echo. Officers redeployed to the latest crash to find a male motorcyclist with injuries. It’s understood that the driver of a silver Ford Fiesta pulled out from Tapnell Farm – a popular West Wight attraction – into the path of the motorcyclist.
Thankfully, no serious injuries have been sustained but the rider has been taken to St Mary’s Hospital by the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service for further assessment. The road remains open as normal.
