UPDATED: MOTORCYCLE AND CAR CRASH AT COMPTON SEES AIR AMBULANCE RESPOND

Emergency services – including the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance – are responding to a road traffic collision between a motorcycle and a car on Military Road at Compton this lunchtime (Wednesday). The incident, which occurred shortly before 12:55 near Hanover Point, has led to Military Road being blocked in both directions. Motorists are advised to avoid the area, diverting via Brook and Middle Road in both directions. UPDATE @ 15:00 – A motorcyclist has been airlifted to hospital after sustaining serious injuries in this afternoon’s crash.
