A minor crash between 2 cars on a junction between the lower and upper reaches of Ventnor has prompted a response from Police, paramedics and fire crews this evening (Monday).
Emergency services were called to the scene around 18:30 as a result of a Renault Clio and a Hyundai coming together outside the fish and chip shop on the junction of Ocean View Road and Newport Road.
No serious injuries have been sustained but paramedics from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service have checked over the occupants of both vehicles.
A retained fire crew from Ventnor was mobilised in the interests of safety.
The vehicles involved have already been cleared from the scene with the road open as normal.
Emergency services have stood down.
