2 males are being sought by Police after fleeing the scene of a crash in Ryde during the early hours of this morning (Saturday), which led to a van being damaged and a fence destroyed.
Police were called to Harding Road, Oakfield at just gone 04:00 to reports of a road traffic collision involving a black Mitsubishi Colt.
Island Echo understands the Colt – driven by persons unknown – turned into Harding Road at such speed that the driver lost control, smashing into the rear of a parked Ford Transit van.
The Colt continued to travel across the carriageway and crashed through a brand new fence – which was only erected earlier this month.
It’s believed 2 male occupants then fled the scene.
It’s unknown if any arrests have been made.
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary has been approached for a statement.
