The Isle of Wight women’s half marathon team of Charlie Metcalfe, Holly Newton and Carly Scoble have taken gold in the 2023 NatWest Island Games.
The Isle of Man took silver with the Western Isles claiming bronze in the team event.
The trio’s triumph is the 3rd gold medal for our Athletics squad and the Isle of Wight’s 14th of the games.
The Isle of Wight’s Charlie Metcalfe also took silver in the Individual Half Marathon in a time of 1:22:58, 43 seconds behind the Isle of Man’s Rachael Franklin in gold medal position.
