Island Echo is backing Isle of Wight archer Summer Chambers, helping fund her elite Team GB coaching as she works towards her long-term Olympic ambitions.
The support will specifically contribute towards Summer’s training within the Archery GB Olympic Development Pathway, including her work with Great Britain coach Philippa Lowe.
At just 15 years old, Summer is already among the top junior archers in the country. She is ranked 2nd in Great Britain at Under 15 level and is the current GB National Indoor Champion in her age group, marking her out as a serious prospect for future international selection.
Summer is aiming to gain international experience over the next few years, with her long-term goal set on representing Great Britain at the 2032 Olympic Games in Brisbane, Australia.
Her place on the Olympic Development Pathway – a programme designed to identify and nurture future Olympic athletes – requires regular travel to the mainland for specialist coaching, performance camps and competitions against the best young archers in the UK.
Island Echo’s sponsorship is focused on helping fund these high-level coaching costs, ensuring Summer can continue to access the elite training environment required to progress towards representing Great Britain on the world stage.
