Police are investigating the theft of a trailer from an industrial estate in Lake overnight – with Islanders being asked to keep a sharp eye out. An Ifor Williams twin-axle trailer belonging to PJC Glazing was taken from Lake Industrial Way opposite Morrisons either last night (Tuesday) or during the early hours of this morning (Wednesday). It’s understood that the trailer – which had 2 wheel locks in place – was full of plastic waste, which was emptied onto the floor before the thief – or thieves – made their getaway with the trailer. The local firm is asking Islanders to keep an eye out for the stolen trailer, serial number: 9-45772 / SCK60000090557805. Anyone with information can contact Police on 101, quoting 4424036859. Alternatively, PJC Glazing can be contacted on 01983 404099.

If there was a fixed link, the island would be plundered.
No it will not. 99% of theft is by locals. Stop making stuff up and look at the facts.
tony is right – nip across the fixed link, nick a trailer, go back across fixed link and dissapear within minutes.
with a ferry – you have at least an hour to wait and longer at night – meaning a call to the ferry port can identify the thieves waiting.
I agree the scumbags are island based.
Islanders always blame mainlanders because
their minimal brain power is weak.
Speeding on the island is by locals,
drink and drug driving is by locals.
From what I have witnessed in the years I
have lived on the island.
Locals are full of Tatts and cannot stop vaping.
Bunch of sad B’stards
What absolute rubbish you speak, where on earth do you get your stats from and please dont tell me the Sun
Yes, but consider the effect that would have on the gene pool, worth some consideration even if it only benefitted your ancestry, don’t you agree?
Can’t leave nothing hanging around can you, pity the hitchlock wasn’t on, hope you get it back not loads of them about, should be a bit too hot to handle for a while, nice trailer though
iOS and Samsung little trackers are cheap. £99 for four of the Samsung ones. Last for more than a year before have to charge / change battery. Easy to hide. They would have their trailer back now.
My Toyota C-HR comes with a tracker standard…I think most new cars have trackers these days..
on the ferry and far away
Time Labour took on more responsibility and brought back corporal punishment to deter crime. Even if they do catch the thieving tike, they’ll only get a slap on the wrist. No more do gooders please !!
